Evaluating our 25 word pitch

Our final 25 word pitch is very short and snappy, it intrigues the audience. Ir creates empathy by naming the boy as 'neglected', this directly appeals to our target audience of families, especially mothers, as they have a natural mothering instinct, to protect and care for children, therefore they will instantly be able to connect with the character Fred- the 'neglected gypsy boy'. The words "adventure" and "change" instantly grasp the audiences attention. The "adventurous" aspect of the film appeals to the younger audience. The word 'forever' makes the film see almost like a fairytale, and appeals to the younger female audience, it complies with the lexical field of 'fantasy' - as often in films aimed at young girls the word 'forever' is used.

The pitch is descriptive and basically outlines the story, without detailing to much, by naming the main part of the film as an 'adventure' this instantly captivates our target audience, and intrigues them to watch the film, and to know what this 'adventure' was, and how this 'adventure' will 'change' their lives 'forever'.

The main characters are named, and their names are not modern, therefore this also gives the audience a rough idea of the time period of the setting of the film.

The word 'they' also discretely suggests the romantic aspect of the film, that both young children work together and somehow become linked.

"That would change their lives" has more of an impact then "what could change their lives", it intrigues the audience further, as it tells you that there IS a dramatic change.
